The Sports Facility at Oxford University was keen to shed its image of being a provider of elitist sports such as Rowing and Rugby to potential students. This called for a contemporary style and a change of emphasis. Armed with some local knowledge, I focused on Roger Bannister's first sub 4-minute mile achieved at Oxford in the introduction with the use of the '3.59.4' text; seen in the bottom right image.

With the cover, the traditional Oxford blue had to be retained. I offset this with the vibrant green and lively use of cut-out images of people engaged in sports not usually associated with Oxford. The pixelation in the background imagery was to give the idea of action and movement. The stye of the literature effectively conveyed the idea of entry for people interested in a wider variation of sports.

As a continuation of the University prospectus, the Oxford Sports Facility also needed to attract membership from the general public and University staff. This leaflet continued the emphasis of the first sub 4-minute mile achieved at Oxford and the less traditional feel using photography of gym and swimming activities.

Inside, I produced an easy to follow, graphical guide to the types of membership available and which facilities were on offer to different groups. Membership increased dramatically as a result of the redesigned leaflet.
